WiiWare™ titles are downloadables available on the Wii Shop Channel, an online storefront and download station on the Wii console.  In order to download a WiiWare title, you must first purchase Wii Points, available in card form at game retailers or by directly purchasing it with a credit card right from the Wii Shop Channel.  Simply click on the “Add Wii Points” button on the Wii Shop Channel menu to redeem your points.

Next, find the Wii Shop Channel on your Wii Menu and access it.  You can then use the channel to browse for WiiWare games either by Popular Titles, Newest Additions, Game Publisher, Genre, or Game Title.  Choose the game you wish to purchase and click “Download” from the game’s page.  Your game will begin to download automatically.

You can browse downloadable content online on the LIVE Marketplace.  When you’ve decided what you want, just click the “Download to Xbox 360” button to start the purchase.  If you are not signed in, you will be asked to put in your log-in information for your Xbox Live account.  If you do not have an Xbox LIVE account, you can start your registration by following the easy steps.

Some items in the LIVE Marketplace require points.  You can purchase bundles of Microsoft Points online by supplying your billing and credit card information, or you can also obtain point cards which are available at many game retailers.  If you have enough Microsoft Points, you’ll be asked to confirm your purchase and the item will be added to your Download Queue.  Items on your Download Queue will begin to download onto your Xbox 360 the next time you turn it on and sign into your Xbox LIVE account.



On your PlayStation3, go to the PlayStation Network to create an account in a few simple steps.  Next, select the PlayStation Store icon and log in with your new sign-in ID.  You can now browse the PlayStation Store which includes everything from downloadable games, demos, add-ons, media, themes and wallpapers, and videos.

In order to purchase items in the PlayStation Store, you will either have to use a credit or debit card, but can also use a prepaid PlayStation Network Card, available at authorized retailers.  When you redeem your points, they will be added to your PlayStation Wallet.
